The primal power source represents the power of the primal spirits of the natural World, the sentient manifestations of life itself. Some practitioners of this form of magic channel primal spirits through their bodies to transform themselves and make their physical attacks more formidable. Others evoke the power of the primal spirits to create external effects, such as localized storms, bursts of fire, or temporary manifestations of the spirits. Primal abilities are called evocations.[1]

The other power sources are Arcane, Divine, Martial, Psionic and Shadow.
